Patients wishing to have a general health check can request an appointment with one of the practice nurses – this will include a blood test, blood pressure check, measurement of weight and height, recording of smoking status, and diet, alcohol and exercise advice.
The blood test will include checks on lipid levels and blood sugar to screen for raised cholesterol and diabetes.
